Prenatal Yoga

Our Prenatal yoga classes incorporate pregnancy-friendly yoga asanas (postures) and breathing; self-hypnosis and deep relaxation and most importantly, a warm and welcoming community for pregnant mummies-to-be. 

Benefits of Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga at Bump, Birth, Baby & Beyond Ltd is a safe and relaxing way to exercise whilst pregnant, that encourages stretching, mental centering and  focused breathing. 

Research shows that prenatal yoga is safe and beneficial to both Mother and her Baby. 

Prenatal yoga can:

  • Improve sleep

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth

  • Decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath

  • Prenatal yoga can also help you meet and bond with other pregnant women and prepare for the stress of being a new parent.

Structure of Bump, Birth, Baby & Beyond Ltd Yoga Class

Breathing- You will be encouraged to take slow, deep breathes in through your nose. Prenatal yoga breathing techniques help you work through surges during labour. 

Gentle stretching- You'll be encouraged to gently move different areas of your body, such as your neck and arms, through their full range of motion.

Postures- While standing, sitting or lying on the ground, you'll gently move your body into different positions aimed at developing your strength, flexibility and balance. Props — such as blankets, cushions and belts — might be used to provide support and comfort.

All classes subject to availability, and must be pre-booked.
